Off-boarding

As we help our customers migrate data from one platform to another, we have noticed a few recurring challenges. One is that duplicate contacts are common, and the other is that different formatting of a specific data point, such as a phone number, is common. 

In one system, phone numbers can be registered according to the international standard with + 46 at the beginning and in another system without. When you merge phone numbers in the same system, in this case to Hubspot, it is important to ensure that the phone number is correct, i.e. follows the same. 

In Hubspot, the unique identifier is by default email address, which means that if the email address attribute is not filled in, a duplicate of the contact is created. The fact that the data is not complete thus affects your data quality.
