Development of a new onboarding journey

Aftonbladet's CX department needed to renew its communication, processes and build a new team from scratch. After a previous migration from Adobe Marketo to Braze and following a period of rapid change in the CX department, there was a desire to update the way the Plus payment service was introduced to new customers. Developing a new, more competitive onboarding was one of the first challenges we tackled as part of our collaboration.

How did we do it?
1.

Investigation

We led and participated in exploratory conversations about the purpose of a new onboarding. Evaluated customer behaviors to select parts of the product to highlight.

2.

Design

Aiming to harmonize the design and tell the story of selected parts of the product, we designed a new journey as part of the team.

3.

Improvements

On a rolling basis, we have carried out tests to find out what works and what doesn't. The goal is to develop in two stages new, improved versions that build on the technical sophistication with a high degree of personalization as a goal.

4.
5.
Result

Lower churn

The first version led to a reduction in churn by 1.93 percentage points against the previous onboarding. An improvement of just over 5%.

Continuous optimization

We are now working to take the next step and further improve the customer journey by strengthening a unified customer journey.

With Leadfront and specifically Anton's help and expertise, we were able to further develop our customer journey and campaign work with a methodical and insight-based approach.
